How can I learn classical guitar on a professional level?

I have 2 more years of high school and I want to get a degree in classical guitar after that. How could I learn it very well? Could I learn it online and still get into a music school, or should I go to see live teachers. The live teachers for classical guitar and conservatories are very expensive, and I’d need to travel weekly in another town, and I don’t have enough money for that. Can I train myself alone, somehow, and still make it to that college?

Keep in mind that I can read and write music. Even if I don’t know very well at the moment, I’ll improve with time.

If you can musically literate then you’re in good shape. If you cannot afford classes at a college or a personal teacher, then your selection is limited. I do not recommend trying to learn online.
I think you are best off simply getting sheet music for classical guitar pieces and practicing. If you get good at those, then you’ll be ahead of your game when you get to college. You’ll have to play and practice them in college anyway.
Maybe if you are in a guitar or music class in high school your teacher will help you. Even if you aren’t in a music class you can still talk with the teachers and they may be willing to help. Teachers at your school are invaluable.

Most importantly, practice, practice, practice. Make sure your sight reading is up to par.

Take lessons from an experienced teacher. You’re not going to get into college for classical guitar trying to learn it yourself from youtube in 2 years. Most of the guitarists getting into the good music schools have been playing since they were 7 or 8 years old and have been training with experienced instructors. Sorry if this isn’t what you want to hear, but honestly, I doubt you’d have a chance without lessons and even then, 2 years is not enough time to gain the skill and understanding to get into a reputable music school. I’d still encourage you to go ahead and learn to play even if you can’t afford lessons, but I wouldn’t put all my "career eggs" in that basket if I were you. Keep some other options open.
