Is it possible to teach yourself electric guitar to a good standard?

Alongside learning classical guitar (I have been playing for a few years) is the transition between electric and classical hard? Is it possible to self teach myself? Tips? ANything I should know? Thanks 😀

I have been having lessons from a teacher for CLASSICAL guitar not electric soz typo error

Yes, especially if you already have the resources of technique and musicianship from your classical training. Pluck more gently, and try a flatpick for melody (lead) and ostinato (riff) lines. And you can make more use of bending the string across the fretboard to gliss up to the next note on an electric.

    Yes.

Classical guitar is way harder. You might have to get used to using a pick and the smaller neck, but after that it should be easy as pie.
