how do I learn classical guitar at home?

I have Garage band on computer. If that helps…
And I also have a Yamaha Classical Guitar. (So I don’t get any smart ass answers here)

classical guitar would require technique taught by a professional. It’s not recommended to learn from home.

i’m a classical pianist and its incredibly obvious when someone is self-taught no matter what the intstrument is.

Assuming that you mean "classical guitar" in the sense of playing classical guitar music using techniques associated with the classical guitar style, I don’t think you can, I think the skills needed have to be taught by a teacher. "Correct" posture, hand/finger position and technique are essential to this style of playing. These things, I think, need to be taught. I certainly don’t imagine that Garage Band would be of any help!

If, on the other hand, you just mean you just want to learn to play guitar and you’re going to be using a classical guitar, well just learn in the normal way – get a teacher, get some beginner’s books etc.

I have found both The Christopher Parkening Guitar Method (which comes in two volumes) and The Complete Carcassi Guitar Method (still in print after more than 150 years) quite useful in learning classical guitar. Both are quite easy to find.
