But I bite my nails A LOT. Does everyone use their nails to pluck the strings or theyre fingers?
You don’t actually use your nails to pluck the strings. The nails simply reinforce the flesh to provide a rigid enough surface to cause the string to sound sharply. The nails are used when performing a ragsuedo which is a flamenco technique using the nails to downstrum across the strings similar to a plectrum
