Any recommendations on a classical guitar instructional book to buy?

hi,
I have been playing guitar a couple years now, and I mostly play rock & metal stuff. I’m getting bored with it so i thought learning classical guitar might be the way forward.

does anyone have any suggestions of a good book for me to get?
(for an idea of my current skill level, i can play most metallica songs, a little bit of basic yngwie malmsteen stuff, etc. so im not a beginner or an expert).

thanks.

I was just googling and came across this product hope it helps you

I came at it from a similar angle to yourself and I was able to teach myself classical guitar after playing folk guitar and rhythm guitar for several years by using the Frederick Noad books (‘Solo Guitar Playing’, volumes I and 2.)

These books teach serious classical guitar playing though, like Segovia or Christopher Parkening. If you are interested more in improving your Electric, you may want to look for something specific to metal solos instead. Classical guitar will wonders for your left hand on Electric, but it will do exactly nothing for your right hand, because you pick classical guitar with your fingernails, which is useless on a Les Paul.

One other thing it may help you with: lots of guys don’t know how to read music on the staff (like piano music) because they only learned how to read chords and tablature. Classical guitar is written on the treble clef, not tabs.
