If i learn classical guitar do i know how to play electric guitar?
I am a new guitar learner so i am wondering If i learn classical guitar do i know how to play electric guitar?
yes its the same thing. all guitar transfers pretty much equally. you would proubably be a better electric guitar player because you would then know more about modes, scales, and arpaggios. the only thing that wouldnt transfer the same is the type of guitar, you dont really play differently it just takes some getting used too. also i dont use a pick i use my finger nails like you do in classical. a lot of great guitarists dont even use picks like the great Mark knopfler.

no classical teaches how to play different than electric
u place the guitar on your left knee if right handed and right knee if left handed
u stum with every finger rather than just ur thumb or even a pick
its different to learn the electric and u should drop classical if u wana learn electric

Kind of. Rock guitar is a lot more chord based, whereas classical guitar is a lot more line based. However, you’re far more likely to be able to play rock after learning classical than the other way round.

It’s diffrent, but you play the electric one easier if you play classical guitar, your fingers are more powerfull and ready, you know everyone blieve if sombody wants to play electric he/she should play classical guitar for a while before that.
